Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds Boneless Chicken
  • 2/3 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Fenugreek
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 Cup Yellow Onion
  • 14 oz Whole / Pureed Tomatoes
  • ½ cup DailyLac 100% Natural Full Cream Milk

Instructions

Step 1


Add yogurt, garam masala, coriander, ½ teaspoon salt into a large bowl then mix. Add chicken then mix to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 2


Add oil on a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onions for 5 minutes and add ginger, garlic, cumin, fenugreek and remaining ½ teaspoon salt. Stir the spices and cook for 1 minute.

Step 3


Add tomato paste, the marinated chicken with yogurt, milk and tomato sauce.

Step 4


Stir and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes till sauce thickens and chicken is cooked and tender.

Step 5


Serve over basmati rice and garnish with cilantro or naan bread.
